  1. Alleluia. To paraphrase Michelle I am beginning to be proud of my Alma Mater for the first time in years.

  2. For the life of me I have never been able to understand why the profound majority of Jews in this country support the political party that that is committed to the destruction of Israel.

  4. Betty, I have read several explanations of the phenomenon and it still boggles my mind. I think it comes down to a lack of education.

John, ouch must be hard to be a Yalie with what has been coming out of there lately.

Gail, a redo would be great, but we would still be stuck with McCain. And some 90% of blacks still support Obama so the outcome would likely be the same. For the life of me, I do not get it. It's just like the Jews and Democrats.

There are some interesting parts of yesterday's SCOTUS decision where Justice Thomas talks about black history. It wasn't the dems who were pro-diversity, I'll tell you that!

And on a related note, the grand wizard (or whatever they call themselves) of the Senate, KKK member Robert Byrd (D. WV) died this week.

  5. Kristin, I have to disaree with you that Jews are progressives because of lack of education. The Jewish people have always revered education. Norman Podhoretz had an article in the Wall Street Journal recently trying to explain why Jews are Liberal but I wasn't buying his tortured explanation.

  6. This is the article to which you refer.

I'm afraid I skipped a few steps in my thought process when I posted my last comment. Socialism, modern liberalism, communism etc completely defy the rules of economics, common sense, physics and about everything else. I wrote a post back in March where I concluded that people who subscribe to these beliefs must be either ignorant or evil.

I refuse to believe that that many people are evil; I have to conclude that they are ignorant.

The kids are throwing fits, so I hope that makes a small bit of sense and I hope the html worked.

  7. Now I'm with you--Some very educated people can be very stubborn in their ideology. I think that's what Podhoretz was saying. He was asserting that Judaism has become more of an ideology than a religion. If that's the case, then his explanation was not so tortured afterall. But I still can't see why the Jews would support those who espouse the destruction of Israel.

  8. Not only is he the most radical, but he's the most dangerous President we ever had.

  9. I'm afraid after his veiled threats at the G20 and with a lame duck congress, he's about to get much more dangerous!

  11. Okay, so I've spent years in Calfornia, which may discount my views. Bet we need to decide upon our own vision in order to bring it to fruition, via God's intervention. To live in the fear presented by the BO administration is not constructive, but is what they count on. What do WE WAMT?
