The Arizona house voted 31-22 to add an amendment to a bill that would require Obama to produce his birth certificate for his name to be on the 2012 ballot. At least it's a step in the right direction.

Those of us who would like proof of Obama's place of birth are disparagingly labeled "Birthers". And yet his grandmother and Kenyan officials say he was born in Kenya. If Obama is able to prove us wrong, why hasn't he simply produced his birth certificate yet?

less government is my ideal. however, when one needs to qualify for certain positions, proof of qualification is practical. otherwise we may see many more "great pretenders"
