Obama Attacks Free Speech

I'm sitting here over my first cup of coffee and I still can't get over Obama's comments about information from his commencement address at Hampton University.

First of all, Mr. President, America is a representative republic, not a democracy.

We are "bombarded with information, some of which doesn't rank that high on the truth meter." So is it his job to save us from untruths? How about all the lies that stream from his administration. They think we little people can't get ourselves health care, we are too dumb to pick our own financial products, and now we are unable to sort through what is true or false?

Knowledge is power and they know it. When the mainstream media ceased to be journalists and started acting as official administration spokespersons, some Americans started digging for the truth themselves. They want to silence us by limiting our access to information.

Do you think you're getting the truth from mainstream media sources? Take NBC and MSNBC. Their parent company is GE. What do we know about GE? Well, they are on the forefront of Green Technology. Joel Rogers of The Apollo Alliance, Emerald Cities, COWS and several other pro Cap and Trade groups says that GE stands to get rich from this. And we're supposed to believe what GE's news organizations say?

The internet and talk radio are thorns in the side of this administration. They are exposing actual video and audio that shows just what the transformation of America means to these people in power. You Tube, blogs like this, Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh are speed bumps on their path to government domination. So, like good communists, they seek to shut us up.

Mark Lloyd, chief Diversity Officer at the FCC, praised Chavez's revolution in Venezuela and credited their control of the media as something that helped make that revolution possible. This is the same man who said that the Fairness Doctrine didn't go far enough.

The courts have upheld the overturn of the Fairness Doctrine, so the administration set its sights even higher. They are seeking to declare the internet as a public utility and thereby gain regulatory control over it.

One member of this regime whom I haven't talked about much is Cass Sunstein. He is the head of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA), also known as the "Regulation Czar". This is also the guy who wrote the book Nudge, which encouraged government to nudge the people into the choices the government wants us to make.

In 2008, Sunstein co-wrote a paper called Conspiracy Theories, in which he says:

"What can government do about conspiracy theories? Among the things it can do,
what should it do? We can readily imagine a series of possible responses.

(1)
Government might ban conspiracy theorizing.

(2) Government might impose some kind
of tax, financial or otherwise, on those who disseminate such theories.

(3) Government
might itself engage in counterspeech, marshaling arguments to discredit conspiracy theories.

(4) Government might formally hire credible private parties to engage in

counterspeech.

(5) Government might engage in informal communication with such

parties, encouraging them to help. Each instrument has a distinctive set of potential
effects, or costs and benefits, and each will have a place under imaginable conditions.

However, our main policy idea is that government should engage in cognitive infiltration

of the groups that produce conspiracy theories, which involves a mix of (3), (4) and (5)."

Now go back and read that again. It's terrifying!

Listen for people in the administration and main stream media to start calling Tea Party members and others who oppose what is happening in America "conspiracy theorists" and anti-government. It's already happening.

Be on the lookout for people from the government (or their union buddies) engaging in counter-speech or infiltrating Tea Parties, private blogs or Twitter pages in an effort to discredit the opposition. It's already happening.

Most of all, fight for your first amendment rights! Do your own research. Your rights are under attack.

  1. This is a great post! I love the way you've tied all of this together and agree completely that we are all being targeted as "enemies of the state." It's beyond ridiculous, almost unbelievable, but it's happening.

  2. Thanks Fuzzy! I was glad to stumble across your blog too.

Each day I am more and more bewildered by what is happening to this country. I feel like so many of us are screaming about it and being completely ignored or discredited as extremists. Excuse me, we're the extremists?

  3. What is the name of that mythical multi-headed monster...hydra? Anyway, that is how "the transforming government of the evil, by the evil and for the evil" performs. PRAY for us all and remember that in our action for good lies our path. To stop evil is essential. VOTE and get your friends out to vote as well. Our window of opportunity may be limited.
