McChrystal mocks the regime

It sounds to me like Gen Stanley McChrystal may have more sense than I had previously given him credit for.

Today, the toddler-in-chief is summoning McChrystal to the White House for a spanking and a time out. White House officials are working to discover McChrystal's age so they know how many minutes the general gets in the naughty chair.

Okay, so I made that last bit up. But according to the Rolling Stone article, McChrystal and his team expressed frustration at Obama's unwillingness to act on a request for more troops, made jokes about Joe Biden (haven't we all?), and recognized our real enemy as the wimps in the White House.

  1. I have a suggestion. Instead of firing McChrystal, let's just fire Obama instead.

  2. Amen, Ben. After looking at this whole Petrobras thing, I think the president and people in his administration need to have charges filed against them.

  3. I would say, "Say goodbye to the General." No matter how frustrated you are, you have to keep it to yourself, just like MacArthur learned.

  4. I think he knew that he would be fired over this. But I think he had reached his limit and wanted to send a message before he went. Mission accomplished.

  6. This is big news. If this is how the military think of their boss then we are in big trouble. The General knew what he was doing and he couldn't go against his oaths to the countrey and Constitution. And with this Sen.Kyl happening at the same time the Obama admin. is out of control. This admin and the Democratic party are holding hostage our borders for immigration reform and they are not in control of the wars. It's bad, really, really bad.

  7. And at the same time the administration is shutting down drilling in the gulf while funnelling our tax $$$$ to the state owned oil co of Brazil--Petrobras!!

  8. First Barton apologizes for speaking the truth, now General McCrystal. I guess we can call it the year of the apology.

  9. I agree with you Kristin, I think he knew what he was doing, he wants out, and he wants his troops to know how he feels. When he's going, he can REALLY speak out on what a scum obummer is. He should be setting up a run for President in 2012!

  10. I agree with Chris. If the general is saying this publically then I believe this sends a signal that the entire military leadership is seeing and feeling what the rest of us are and that spells big trouble for Husseins' regime.

McCrystal may lose his job but just may have saved our nation. He knew what he was doing, remember this is not the first time he has undermined Hussein.

  11. As for McChrystal for president....I don't think I could vote for anyone who voted for Barry.

  12. A Woodsterman: I say no way! I'm glad McChrystal had his "Johnny Paycheck" moment. He knew exactly what he was doing by letting it all hang out.

  13. I agree with you, Kristin. The Dude was looking for an Exit Ramp.

No great loss in my opinion. The strategy to win the hearts and minds of the Afghans was naive at best. His recent leadership style seems chock-full of liberal, touchy-feely, H.R.-style bromides.

The fact that he voted for the community organizer reflects either his lack of intelligence or his true belief in Hope and Change. Either way...bye!

  14. I don't blame the general for going off. I can't imagine how hard it must be to actually WORK with Obama. I at least have the option of turning off the television every time he comes on.

  15. I was stuck in a waiting room today during BO's speech and had to listen to it 3 times on HLN. Talk about torture!
