I logged in this morning and Yahoo Insider graciously popped this article onto my screen:
The Downside to the Recovery of the Ozone Hole
While the hole in the Earth's protective ozone layer is slowly healing; its recovery might have a downside scientists say: Climate change could change wind patterns and send ozone from high in the atmosphere down to the surface, where it is a major component of smog....
Sick yet? Now I'm not one who puts up with this crap much anymore, so of course, I scrolled to the bottom to comment, sure that the comment section would be full of a bunch of enviro-nazi, greenie-freaks lending support to the author.
Boy was I surprised and pleased! Americans seem to be waking up to this hoax. Here are some of the better comments.
- HOT, COLD, HOT, COLD.......AROUND AND AROUND IT GOES....ARE ANY OF YOU GETTING DIZZY AND SICK OF THIS CRAP YET? IT'S TIME TO STOP FIGHTING BETWEEN OURSELVES AND TAKE BACK OUR COUNTRY......
- Make up your minds you buffoons. Is the hole in the Ozone Layer a good thing or a bad thing? The so-called experts never cease to amaze or appall me with their jibberish.
- We'd burn in 5 minutes without it? I wonder why Antarctica hasn't melted completely away by now if the hole is centered over it?
- This global climate change B.S. is over the top. Whomever is responsible for drumming up this crap should be put away (as in crazy house) and never let out.
I'm so confused. I have to seek the counsel of the Green Gods and their patron Saint Al Gore.
- I am sure that if the climate started to cool scientists would still find a way to milk the public out of billions of dollars to fund research on how it is the end of the world.
It doesn't matter what happens, doomsayers of all stripes will try to profit from fear. First it was Malthus, then it was global cooling, then DDT, then over-population again, then it was ozone depletion, then it was global warming, SARS, Y2K, now it is the ozone layer is healing. The environmental specualtion track record is not good.
Of course, there were some idiots in there too. But it was refreshing to see so much common sense!
bringing the "silent majority" to vocalization may have been the unintended result of the current power structure. let's remember to tip the power back to american citizens.
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of back in the mid to late 80's I believe when one week 'experts' said aspirin was good then the next week bad then the next it was good again. This went on and on for weeks on end flip-flopping each time.
ReplyDeleteThis had become a joke around many water coolers at the time and was for me an awakening to so-called news and experts.
Climate change has finally reached the point among the masses like that of the aspirin debate, a joke.
I saw a similar thing in a fox sports article criticizing a baseball manager for publicly declaring he supported Arizona's law. They also had a poll, and 84% of the people supported his right to speak out.
ReplyDeleteIt's good if it's bad, and bad if it's good? I'm getting dizzy with all of this "Let's save our selves before Al Gore is indicted". The "Greenie Weenies" have to save face.
ReplyDeleteHopefully, this is a sign of a wake-up in America.
ReplyDeleteHope you're having an amazing Holiday weekend!!
