New Toy

I'm probably going to be MIA the rest of the day. My dear husband bought me an iPod touch yesterday and I'm trying to figure out what all it does.

Took me 3 hours to find iheartradio....you don't know what to look for when you don't know what exists.

  1. Also download Kindle and so you can purchase a book when traveling and have only one item to carry. I have enjoyed mine.

  2. I would say welcome to the 21st century, but I don't have one yet myself. I have a Mac and Mobile Me and would be able to sync the two together, but I don't know what it does either. Could you let me know when you find out? I would get an iPhone too, but AT&T is iffy at my house.

  4. Odie--My husband told me Verizon is coming out with an iPhone soon. It's the only thing that works in our neighborhood of tall pine trees. We can't even get satellite TV--No clear shot to the towers.

  5. Verizon announced they would be getting the iPhone in January. I'm so totally getting one :P

Jane, I got iBooks, then Tim suggested I get Stanza, so I did. Is Kindle even better? I'm not sure I need 3 libraries. Of course, I am a book addict....

  6. I'm not familiar with iBooks or Stanza but certain they provide the same end result!

  8. I'm one month away from a more capable phone. I can't wait.

Congrats, and enjoy the new toy.

  9. Betty Ann, are you my neighbor? Yup, Verizon works great here too. I'm there when they come out.

  10. Update: I'm totally in love with this thing! My wifi even reaches the vegetable garden and the chicken coop so I can listen to talk radio, IM my mom and pick beans at the same time. *swoon*

  11. Kristin, tell me more. Is it linked to your computer via your WiFi ?

  12. It is on my wifi network, but doesn't link to my computer unless I plug it in. A friend told me there is an app that lets you use it as a remote control to control your computer; I haven't looked for that one yet.

Even when there is no wifi, I have downloaded books, music and podcasts, so there is always something to listen to.
